Support without guesswork
Dialogue Guard is a local tab-audio tool. These checks solve the common failure paths without asking for browsing data or audio files.
Common fixes
Chrome blocks capture on internal pages, the Chrome Web Store, other extension pages, and malformed or unavailable tabs. Switch to the tab containing ordinary web media, then reopen Dialogue Guard.
Press Stop first. Confirm the tab itself is playing audible media, reload the media page, reopen the toolbar control, and start once. Do not run a second tab-audio processor at the same time.
Use instant bypass to confirm the source. Try Reset, choose Clear Voice, lower Output volume, and avoid maximum custom clarity/compression on already distorted material.
Auto Level intentionally moves slowly and pauses below its noise gate to avoid pumping breaths, room noise, and pauses. Night Mode reacts more through compression; Custom lets you change auto-level strength.
Browser and site fullscreen behavior varies when tab capture is active. Start Dialogue Guard before entering fullscreen. If a site exits fullscreen, stop processing, return to the page, and try again; the final compatibility list will be based on release testing.
Preferences are saved by normalized hostname, not full page address. Reset affects the current hostname. Private/incognito policy and browser data clearing can affect storage.
